Recycle paper while making beautiful wall art

I love reading and books, but when you come across a book with missing pages, your best option is to recycle paper and make something nice with it.

One of my bedroom walls was looking a bit naked and boring, so I got inspired by this paper mural and decided to replicate it with a slight modification.

If you want to see what I did, keep on reading.

Instructions

1. First, make sure to inspect your foam boards for damaged areas. If you see any light spots, cover them with a black sharpie. Then, paint the sides of each board with the black sharpie.

2. I cut out a couple of hearts in different sizes to see what would look better. Then, I measured the dimensions and divided my foam boards accordingly to figure out how many paper hearts I needed to make (it turns out I needed 100, 25 per board).

3. Next, you need to cut the back support for each heart. You can recycle paper from a different source if your book doesn’t have enough pages to make all the hearts. I cut strips of 0.5×4.5 inches and folded them into squares. Then, I glued them together before gluing them to the back of each heart.

5. Next, you need to glue the hearts to the boards. As a guide, you can divide each board into 5×5 squares using yarn and mini clothespins and clips.

And you are done! All you need to do now is hang your new wall art and enjoy it!

Feel free to leave a comment, and if you make your own recycle paper heart wall art, let me know how it turns out!

4. Now, place some strips of mounting tape on the back of each board.
